She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Charles (Virginia Lee Taylor Poetter) and Taylor; her grandfather John Milam Taylor; her husband John Edward Simpson, Jr.; and her great grandchild Luke Thomas White.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha White (Steve), Charles Simpson (Amelia), Brad Simpson (Belinda) and Virginia Spangler (Eric). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Massey Funeral Home (779 N Riedel St, Yorktown, TX 78164). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (234 N Church St, Yorktown, TX 78164). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westside Cemetery Westside Cemetery (1335 Westside Cemetery Rd, Yorktown, TX 78164).
Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of South Texas Dornburg Center of Compassion.
