He was predeceased by: his father James Delbert Metting, Sr.; and his grandparents, Erwin, Ella Metting, Fred and Anna Born Hahn.
He is survived by: his mother Wiona Marie Hahn Metting; his children, Eliza Metting, Erin Pollock and Zachary Metting; his grandson Leland Lyssy; his siblings, James Metting Jr., John Metting (Donna), Martha Hann (Roy), Marie Metting and Elizabeth Metting (Mark Bouma); his nieces and nephews, Tyson, Heather, Morgan, Tammy, Chris, Collin, Logan, Caitlin, Kelsey and Hunter; his cousin Kristy Serold; and his friend Rafael Reza.
