He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Gus Riemenschneider and Meta Friedrichs Riemenschneider; his siblings, Leroy, Adolph, Dixon Riemenschneider, Ailene Reitz, Gladys Finto, Lou Gruetzmacher and Ruby Stearns; and his children-in-law, Alan Martin and Shirley Riemenschneider.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha; his children, Charles Anthony Riemenschneider, Vickie Borgfeld Cross (Darvin), Jana Martin and Neal Riemenschneider (Ursula); and his grandchildren, Crystal Irvin (Bryan), David Riemenschneider, Kelly Reed (Todd), Jennifer Drozd (Karry), Dr. Nathan Borgfeld (Debra), Aaron Martin (Tera), Adam Martin, Andrea Burns (Brandon), Ross Riemenschneider and Drew Riemenschneider. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church or to the Weesatche Cemetery.
