He was predeceased by: his parents, Domingo Nunez and Natividad Ramirez Nunez. He is survived by: his children, Carol Nunez of Katy, Sally Walker (Don) of Yoakum, Jeannie Anderson (Randal) of Lake Jackson and Michael Nunez (Ruth) of Cypress; his siblings, Gavina Jimenez of Yoakum, Victoria Ytuarte of San Antonio, Catherine Rodriguez of Gonzales, Mary Helen Alderete of Taylor, Paula Nunez of Lockhart, Raymond Nunez of Yoakum, Louis Nunez of Yoakum, John Nunez of Kingwood, Joe Nunez of Yoakum, Lawrence Nunez of Tomball, Carlos Nunez of Luling and Roland Nunez of San Marcos; his son-in-law Bobby Cantu; and his siblings, Mary Basaldua, Barbara Saldivar and Lance. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was owner of a residential and commerical foundation construction company.
