He was predeceased by : his parents, Eldon "Red" Harbers and Rubylee Harbers. He is survived by : his wife Susie Harbers; his daughters, Roberta Bittick (John) and Brenda Cooper (Nathan); his granddaughters, Christine Brown (Lane), Rebecca Cress (Noah), Kelcey Santos (Manu) and Clara Cooper (Simon Machicek); his great grandchild Caleb Brown; and his brother Gene Harbers (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Yoakum Food Pantry, New Life Baptist Church or Yoakum Lions Club.
