He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon "Red" Harbers and Rubylee Harbers. He is survived by: his wife Susie Harbers; his daughters, Roberta Bittick (John) and Brenda Cooper (Nathan); his granddaughters, Christine Brown (Lane), Rebecca Cress (Noah), Kelcey Santos (Manu) and Clara Cooper (Simon Machicek); his great grandchild Caleb Brown; and his brother Gene Harbers (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Yoakum Food Pantry, New Life Baptist Church or Yoakum Lions Club.

He was one of the warmest, kindest, and friendliest souls I ever met. He and Susie would send Christmas cards sometimes just to remind me he had not forgotten me, which meant a lot to me. He created a wonderful legacy with his family and with Roberta following in his footsteps. May God and the fond memories of him bring you peace and joy. Acacia Julius”
