She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Merrell and Zora Merrell (Ratcliff); her former husband Alvin Brandt; and her daughters, Ellen Gonzales and Linda Volkmer.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Apple of Yoakum; her daughter Nancy Gips of Yoakum; her stepchildren, Janet Wheeler of Georgia, Sharon Apple of San Angelo, Edward Dale Apple of Baytown, Morris Apple of San Antonio and Bruce Apple (Debbie) of Oklahoma; and her sister-in-law Joyce Merrell of Pettus. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
