She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Jack Elam and RosieLee Johnson; her former husband Carlesly Armstrong; her husband Willie Denmon; her children, Georgia Armstrong and Timothy Armstrong; and her grandson Jamar Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Armstrong of Cuero, Paula Hopkins of Cuero, Geraline Armstrong of Cuero, Carlesly Armstrong III, Arnold Armstrong and Randall Armstrong (Cynthia) of Katy; her siblings, Dorothy Elam and Berry Caad; and her nieces, Sharon and Joyce. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
