He is also survived by children entrusted to his care to help "raise them right", Marvin McCooks Jr. (Evelyn) of Victoria, Omar Bailey (Callie) of Wisconsin, Charlene Collins of Bryan, Ciara Collins of Bryan, Kennethia Smith of Bryan, LaShandra Bailey of Dallas, LaBrittaney Haynes of Hallettsville, Lauren Haynes of Houston, Larissa Haynes of Yoakum, Lanetheia Haynes of Hallettsville; 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
