She was predeceased by: her parents, James Spivey and Mary Ellen Spivey (Grisham); her husband Lawrence Ray Emerson; and her brother Ben Spivey. She is survived by: her children, Thane Ray Emerson (Judy) of Rockport, Julie Knocke (Gary) of San Antonio and Suzanne Russell (William) of Houston; her grandchildren, Sara Emerson of Rockport, Clayton Knocke of San Francisco, CA, Kathleen Knocke of Washington, D. C., Raquel Layton of Houston, Vivian Russell of Houston and Cooper Russell of Houston; her great grandchildren, George and Tucker Vasquez of Rockport; her sister Janie Pieper (Courtney) of Victoria; and her sisters-in-law, Lynette Emerson of Woodsboro and Joyce Spivey of Lake Jackson.
