It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonita Panus (Yoakum, Texas), born in Moulton, Texas, who passed away on January 15, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome Vasek and Helen Vasek (Zidek); her husband Joe; her son Michael Panus; and her brother Leon Vasek.
She is survived by: her former husband Joseph Panus; her sons, Mark Panus (Delores) of Shiner and Paul Panus (Kimberly) of Kingsland; her grandchildren, Courtney, Kelsea, Ryan, Sarah and Julia; and her great grandchildren, River, Ryder and Reese Morkovsky. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Texas, Shiner Pilot Club or Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
