We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2023, at the age of 87, Laverne Valis (Yoakum, Texas), born in Shiner, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Pfeil and Leona Schroeder Pfeil; and her half-siblings, Sharon Behrends and Richard Pfeil. She is survived by: her husband John Valis; her children, Debra Valis (Angel Toro) and Gary Valis (Paulette); and her grandchildren, Collin Valis, Austen Valis, Michelle Toro and Erin Toro.
Memorial contributions may be given to Shiner Lutheran Church, Hospice of South Texas or Golden Crescent Food Bank.
