He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles D. Fling and Edwina Schrank Fling; his brother Charles W. Fling; his parents-in-law, Rubert W. Henze and Suanne Henze; and his brother-in-law Vernell M. "Sonny" Tolle.
He is survived by : his sister Yvonne F. Tolle; his wife Agnes H. Fling; his sons, John R. Fling and C. Jason Fling (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Emma G. Fling and Jake C. Fling. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
