She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Refugio Vela and Gregoria Espinosa Vela; her husband Claro Guerra; her children, Inez Gonzales of Georgetown, Olga Valdez (John) of Victoria, Anita Moroney (Rob) of Maryland, Rene Luera (Ellie) of Houston, Fernando Luera of New Orleans and Noe Luera Conroe (Lisa); her sister Angelita Belmarez of Odem; her son Pete Luera, Jr. (Tere); and her sister Aurora Moreno. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given to Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle in San Juan, Texas.
