She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Knezek and Marie Knezek (Janca); and her brother Edwin Knezek. She is survived by: her husband Louis James Zapalac of Port Lavaca; her children, Katheryn Sanchez of Hallettsville, Cheryl DeLaRosa (Vince) of Port Lavaca, Kenneth Zapalac of Port Lavaca and James Zapalac (Evelyn) of New Braunfels; and her sister Rosalie Janak of Conroe. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Judes Children's Hospital.
