He was predeceased by: his mother Lillie Mae Chaloupka Janak (Hermes); his stepfather Philip Janak; and his brother Patrick Chaloupka. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Chaloupka (Heinold) of Hallettsville; his children, Jennifer Silvernail (Paul) of League City, Michael Chaloupka (Rebecca) of New Braunfels and Shelley Barbontin (John) of Hutto; and his brothers, Melvin Chaloupka (Doris) of Victoria and Marcus Chaloupka (Brenda) of College Station. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, cousins who were like brothers and numerous extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Legion Post 571, for the scholarship fund.
