He was predeceased by: his son Ken Pate; his grandson Tyler Pate; his daughter-in-law Theresa Pate; and his brother Donald Pate. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Pate (Williams) of Yoakum; his children, Kim Pate Cook (Si) of Waco, Chuck Pate (Lynette) of Yoakum and Chad Pate of Yoakum; his grandchildren, Megan Pate of Austin, Myles Pate (Brandye) of Yoakum and Channing Pate of Katy; and his half-siblings, Elaine Pate of Washington and Dale Pate of Louisiana. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
