She was predeceased by: her father Samuel C. Newsome; her husband Wayne Johnson; and her son Kirk Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Rex Johnson of Alba and Debra Simmons of Sulphur Springs. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
