He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Josephine "Alice" Zorn Askins and James Mark Askins; his siblings, Alice and Mark; and his children, Laura Askins Driver (Clark) of Quitman and Jeffrey Christopher Askins (Chantelle) of Austin.
In keeping with David's wishes, the family is requesting donations be made to Lufkin High School Alumni Fund in lieu of flowers.
