He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Juanita Cox; his brother John D Cox; and his grandparents, Jessie, Dora Cox, William and Essie Foster.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce of Wylie; his son Michael Cox (Lynnetta) of Garland; his grandson Sloane Cox (Kiara) of Clarksville, TN; his siblings-in-law, Bill Wrinkle (Susan) of Medford, NY and Jacki Wrinkle of Odessa; and his nieces and nephews, Bethany Smith (Chris), Jana Harlow, Juli Smith (Dan), Kate Ciparelli (Chris), Chris Cox (Aris), Tyson Wrinkle (Melissa), Bill Wrinkle (Jen), Brian Wrinkle (Laura) and Steven Wrinkle (Nicole).
