He is survived by: his wife Susie Prater; his children, Angela Herbert (Keven) and Brian Prater, Jr. (Melissa Prater); his siblings, David Prater, Joe Prater, Vickie Prater, Sandra Prater and Brenda Prater; his grandchildren, Bo, Tyler, Braydon, Jubee, Lexi, Tre, Taven and Piggy; and his pet Buster. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
