It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mae Ward of Wortham, Texas, born in Teague, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Beene and Lula Reynolds Beene; and her husband L. G. Ward. She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Sutherland (David) of Wortham; her grandchildren, Autumn Cox (Lee) of Groesbeck, Cassi Cawthorn of Baytown and Cory Cawthorn (Tamara) of Streetman; her siblings, Marilyn Finley of Hewitt and William Beene of Wortham; and her great grandchildren, Kealen Beavers, Kennedy Cox, Kuper Cox, Trynen Cawthorn, Colten Pack, Canton Cawthorn and Coy Cawthorn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
