It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Gene Jones of Wortham, Texas, born in Teague, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Eugene and Frankie Jones (Mallard); and his daughter Meagan. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Suzie Jones; his children, David Jones (Phyliss), Jana Jones and Pam Thompson; his grandchildren, Chris Jones, Hayden Jones, Johnston Jones, Candi Reed, Ashley Lester, Taylor Thompson and Walker Thompson; and his brother John Robert Jones. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and nephews.
