He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Elizabeth Stubbs (Kirgan) and George Stubbs; his wife Mattie Stubbs; and his grandchildren, Sarabeth Matthews and John James "JJ" Jarrell.
He is survived by: his daughter Bettina Jarrell (Randy) of Wortham; his granddaughter Juliann Allen (Drew) of Wortham; his great grandchildren, Sophie Yeldell, Cade Matthews, Ansley, Luke and Eli Allen; and his sister Sara Sims of Mexia.
