We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2021, at the age of 93, James A. Porter (Wortham, Texas), born in Meridian, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Porter and Nora Porter; his wife Becky; his son Alton Edwards Porter; and his grandson James Ray Porter.

He is survived by: his children, Danny (Floyd Porter), Diana Varona of New Mexico, Jesse (Norma Porter), Lynetta (Glenn Rickard) of Dunnsville, Edna (Jerry Lowery) of Midway, Virginia Walker (Duane) of New Mexico and Beth (Lucas Smith) of Fairfield. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
