It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edwin Carter (Woodway, Texas), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oliver Carter, Sr. and Cora Denham Carter; his brothers, Roy and Oliver, Jr.; his children, Lee Carter (Julie) of Waco, Les Carter (Jennifer) of Waco and Allyson Carter Mark (Daniel) of Houston; and his wife Barbara. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Ed's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that you generously commit to being kind to people and causes dear to you. In honor of his lifelong love of classical music, a donation to the Waco Symphony Association would be an appropriate living tribute to his memory.
