He was predeceased by: his parents, William Payne and Autie Payne; and his brother Vernon Wilson Payne. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Guidry Payne; and his children, Sylvia Dee Claus, Ronald Lewis Payne and Richard Alan Payne. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
