He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Alexander Coker and Eula Mae Burns; his wife Carole Anne Coker; his siblings, Dorothy Gillen and Rudy Coker; and his daughter-in-law Rene Coker.

He is survived by: his children, David Coker (Vicky) of Warren, Ricky Coker (Tina) of Woodville, Tom Coker (Kim) of Burnet, Jill Rhame (Kenny) of Buna and Jana Burkhard (Ron) of Pearland; his sister Barbara Wyman; his grandchildren, Brian, Ashley, Brandon, Justin, Callie, Kimmy, Jerry, Aaron, Allison, Allyson, Ethan, Adam, Austin, Abby, Cameron, Kristin, Nick, Katelyn, Josh, Hannah and Noah; and his close friend Janice Page. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home - Woodville (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at the Magnolia Cemetery (611 N Nellius St, Woodville, TX 75979).
