With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Pickett of Woodville, Texas, who passed away on November 26, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Pickett Sr.; her parents, Jim McQueen and Cordie McQueen Fuller; her stepmother Clemmie McQueen; her brothers, Haywood Cruse, James E. McQueen and R. L. McQueen; her children, Robert E. Pickett and Deborah Pickett; and her grandchildren, Markus F. Adams and April Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny L. Pickett Sr. (Elena), William D. Pickett Sr., Perry L. Pickett (Diane), Lawrence E. Pickett (Lucy), John D. Pickett Jr., Jacqueline Pickett, Paula Y. Pickett and Regena Pickett; her sister Bertha M. Hamilton of Brookland, Texas; and her siblings-in-law, Pastoria Perry, Mable J. Lovett of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Eddy H. Disnute of Hampton, Arkansas. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church (405 Cobb Mill Rd, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
