He is survived by: his wife Emma Thornton of Woodville; his daughters, Amy Elizabeth Thornton of Woodville and Emily Kay Barber (Billy) of Baytown; his stepson Tryon Heath Phillips of Woodville; his siblings, Jerry Thornton (Debbie) of China and Cindy Rangel of Red Bluff, California; his grandchildren, Seth Phillips (Emily) of Mount Airy, Jason Hamilton of Porter, Jennifer Chandler (Dale) of Woodville, Gunner Philips of Granbury, Christopher Barrett Smith of Baytown and Alexie Wilkerson of Granbury; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Noah, Isabel Weeks of Fort Worth, Briana Baker (Austin) of Fort Polk and Jacob Hamilton of Porter; his great great grandchildren, Axl Baker of Fort Polk and Aeriel Daniel Smith of Baytown; his aunt Nelda Jean Spurlock of Warren; his brother-in-law Dennis Wayne Lee of Woodville; and his daughters-in-law, Pat Phillips of Woodville and Tammy Phillips Ward of Granbury.
