He was predeceased by: his father John Scott; and his brothers, Bobby Scott and John Paul Scott. He is survived by: his mother Carrie Scott; his wife Cheryl Scott; his sons, Addison Scott (Amanda), Justin Scott (Christine) and Jason Scott (Stephanie); and his siblings, Sherrin Dedman (Marcus), Tina Riley (James), Elois Wilson (Demon), Marvin Scott (Monica), Willie Scott and W. J. Scott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and friends.
