It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Coward Sr. of Woodville, Texas, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Coward and Opal Hicks Coward; his former wife Mollie Conner Coward; and his brothers, Claude Coward, Glenn Coward and Royce Coward.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Odom Coward; his children, Kathi Curtis (Jerry) of Silsbee, Letha Jo Battle (Robert) of Lumberton, Myles Coward of Woodville, Kevin Coward (Dawn) of Lovelady, Mark Odom (Myra) of Woodville and John Odom (Lisa) of Santa Fe; his grandchildren, Joshua Curtis (Melissa), Craig Williams (Shelley), Doug Battle (Stephanie), Rodney Battle (Stacy), Rocky Coward (Courtney), Ben Coward, Stephen Odom (Jamie), Lyndsay Odom, Christen Niccum (Ryan) and Joseph Odom (Britney); his sister Maurine Hanks (Harold); his siblings-in-law, Jean Coward Miller, Melissie Evans and Demp Conner; his close friend Kathy Harris; and his granddaughters, Staci McCoy, Kaitlin Coward and Madison Coward. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
