He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Stevens LaPoint and Freddie LaPoint, Sr.; his nephew Freddie LaPoint; his granddaughter Tykeionna White; and his former wife Lisa Adams LaPoint.
He is survived by: his wife Stella LaPoint; his children, Tiffany LaPoint Yates, Jerry LaPoint, Jr. (Imelda), Jer'l Adams (Anissa) and Cadence LaPoint; and his siblings, Danny Roy Stevens, Velma LaPoint Billingsley (Donnie), Cloddie LaPoint Davis (Robert), Jo'Esther Woodson (Van), Tammy LaPoint Dyer (Don) and Ingrid Guillory (Sam).
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mercy Funeral Home Chapel (1395 Gladys St, Beaumont, TX 77701). For your safety social distancing and facial masks are recommended.
