It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Silva of Woodson, Texas, born in Slaton, Texas, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Liandro Serbantez; her husband Luis Silva; her sister Leta Goss; and her son Ruben Cortez. She is survived by: her children, Linda Lee (Buster), Barbara Herring (Butch), Emmy Munoz (Mario) and Alex Cortez; her brother Ernie Cantu; and her grandchildren, Brandon Cortez (Amy), D'Jean Thompson (Truitt), Christopher Porter, Alex Dean (Shaylynn Cortez), Stacy Cortez, Miranda Cortez, Victoria Cortez, Emmari Munoz, Jace Munoz, Arie Ana Cortez, Alexa Herring and Jaxon Herring. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
