He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Boenig and Lottie Boenig; and his sister Kaye Melton. He is survived by: his wife Fran Boenig; his children, Tracie Heil (John), Brad Boenig (Vanessa), Pam Cox and Kari Burke; and his grandchildren, Lauren Boenig, Connor Boenig, Kaitlyn Cox, Garrett Cox, Charlie Burke and Ben Burke.
