He is survived by: his wife Lois Fay Clay; his son Bobby Lee Kemp; his siblings, Troy, Eugene, Porter Kemp, Mary Jo Kemp, Toy Wanda Hollman, Linda Cozart and Imogene DeBoard; his brother-in-law Elbert "Red" Miers; his sons, Kenneth Kemp (Karen) and James Kemp (Renee); his brother Robert Kemp (Debbie); and his sister-in-law Pearl Miers. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
