She is survived by: her husband Gonzalo Castaneda of Wolfforth; her children, Reynaldo Vela Sr. of Wolfforth, Raul Vela Jr. of Lubbock, Norma Manzano of Lubbock, Edna Fernandez of Lubbock, Rosalinda Zapata of Wolfforth and Velma Vela of Wolfforth; and her sisters, Marina Garza of Alice, Texas, Bertha Gonzalez of Alice, Texas, Rosie Mungia of Alice, Texas and Olga Acuna of Alice, Texas. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren.
