He was predeceased by: his parents, Sammie H. Smith and Opal Smith (Mitchell); and his sister Mary Jo Bradshaw. He is survived by: his wife Kay (Western Week); his sons, Donald Jack Smith, Jr. (Marsha) and Kyle Mitchell Smith (Vickie); his grandchildren, Shannon Lynn Hite (George) and Kyle Mitchell Smith, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Brook Lynn Hite and Alexis Noel Hite.
