He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Leftridge and Mack Quilla Leftridge; his granddaughter KeNiqua Cherry; his son Billy Herron Jr.; and his siblings, Virginia Bradford and Charles Burnett.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Herron; his siblings, Jeline Mason (Avery Sr.), Larry Leftridge (Regina) and Vernon Leftridge; his children, Keith Cherry, Dana Cherry-McFarland (Ed) and Chasity Cherry; and his grandchildren, Mya Cherry, Kyara Cherry, Jada Cherry, Ashlee Robison, Joshua Cherry, Peyton Cherry and Allee Cherry-McFarland. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Love & Integrity Funeral Services (4900 King St, Greenville, TX 75401). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (301 Spencer St, Wolfe City, TX 75496).
