She was predeceased by: her parents, Alwin Gustav Stephan and Elsa Pauline Stephan; her sisters, Marie Braune and Norma Stapleton; her husband Frank Thomas Carter; and her daughter Karen Joyce Carter.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Stephan of Abilene; her children, Rhonda (Mike Neal) of Winters, John Carter (Kim) of San Angelo and Ruby Michelle Stephan (Melissa); her grandchildren, Cooper Minton of Dripping Springs, Jacob Goetz of Abilene, Stephen Goetz of Plainview, Ashely (Josh Parker) of Tuscola and Blake Williams of Denton; and her great grandchildren, Makinley and Adley Parker.
