He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hubert Edwards and Loree Edwards; his wife Barbara Edwards of Shep; his children, Christy Chittum (Mike) of San Antonio, Steve Edwards (Jennifer) of Shep and Dianna Bryan (Cole) of Midland; his sister Adele Mims (Royce); and his grandchildren, James Dodson (Devon Woodhouse), Courtney LeBlanc (Joe), Samuel Edwards, Hannah Edwards and Katie Bryan. He was also cherished by five great-grandchildren.
