She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess M. Bates and Lillie Lee Lowery Bates; her husband William L. Carr, Sr.; and her son William L. Carr, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Robert (Nancy Carr), Terry Carr and Joan Wallace; and her siblings, Rufus Bates (Deloris), Reable Lowe (Marvin) and Dora Black. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
