It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Theodore Thompson of Winnsboro, Texas, born in Denton, Texas, who passed away on May 7, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Blake Thompson; and his siblings, Larry Owens, Johnny Thompson, Charlie Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Leroy Thompson, Virgil Thompson and Joyce Erwin.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Millie" Thompson of Winnsboro; his children, Vernon Thompson, Jr. (Allison) of Winnsboro, Judy Dunlap (Jim) of Sachse, Sheila Sutherland of Winnsboro and Teddie Thompson of Big Sandy; and his siblings, Billy Thompson and Donna Thompson Honea of Lewisville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Ted was a family man with unconditional love for his wife Mildred of 57 years, Ted never missed a day seeing her at the nursing home even at the window during covid.
