He was predeceased by: his wife Georgia Ann Giesen Boyd; his parents, James Daniel Boyd and Dolly Fay Tinney Boyd; his grandparents, Ambrose and Elizabeth Tinney; his aunt Laura Spann; his grandson Joshua Eric Cherry; and his son-in-law Eddie Herbert Cherry.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Jean Boyd Rouse (William) of Lindale and Robin Boyd Cherry; his brother Joe Dan Boyd (Peggy) of Winnsboro; his grandchildren, Kristofer Rouse, Cody Rouse, John David Rouse, Jeremy Cherry (Addie, Adam Cook), Abigail Bottoms (Heath, Addyson Cook), Bryson Hyser, Dalton Hyser and Miken Hyser; and his great grandchildren, Aubri Rouse and Raylan Cherry.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make donations to the First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
