It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Metcalf (Winnsboro, Texas), born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on July 23, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Claudette; his siblings, Willie Mae Hicks of Patricia Derrick, Edward Metcalf and Robert Metcalf; and his grandson Johnathon Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Roy Metcalf, Jr.; his wife Deborah of Longview; his daughter Catherine Beets of Gladewater; and his siblings, Billy Metcalf of Lake Charles, Shirley (Hoot Ryan) of Mt, Pleasant and Doris (John Breeden) of Longview. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
