He is survived by: his brother Johnny Griffin (Barbara Waters Griffin); the mother of his children Eddie Pearl; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Griffin; his children, Brian Griffin (Kim), Bonnie Heinrich (Gary), Billy Griffin (Kimberly) and Edward Griffin (Crystal); his former spouse Eddie Pearl Keener; and his wife Barbara Beaty. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
