He was predeceased by: his former wife Albertje; his son Jochum; and his son-in-law Jouke. He is survived by: his wife Wiepie; and his children, Jochem (Hennie), Harm, Olke (Hilda), Henk, Freerk (Sarah), Hermien (Heerke), Janke (Johannes), Trientsje (Efraim), Appie and Geertje (Luc). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
