He was predeceased by: his parents, Check Darby and Bernice Darby; and his siblings, Bill, Duane Darby and Mary Hunt.
He is survived by: his children, Misti (Tim Brown) of Pickton and Shiloh (Kevin Brumley) of Winnsboro; his wife Shirley Darby; his children, Cody Darby (Rachelle) of Gilmer and Brandi Deaton of Gilmer; his grandson Rhett Deaton (Corlie); his children, Darby Oliver (Noah), Brynn Apple (Dal), Josey Yandle (Cody), Timber Brown, Sage Brown, Rance Brown and Skeet Brumley; and his great grandchildren, Tripp Oliver and Ripken Deaton.
