He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ellis and Willie Ellis; his wife Arlene Ellis; and his siblings, Don, Alvin, Orville Ellis, Belle Brown, Norma John, Christine Jackson and Marie Lancaster.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Charles Ellis and Nancy Ellis; his brother James H. Ellis; his children, Carter, Zachery and Birdie; and also Holly.
