He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Warren Jett and Laura Jett (Frazier); and his former wife Mary Jett. He is survived by: his wife Burnell Jett; his sons, Ernest Jett, Jr. (Janene) and David Jett (Gail); and his stepchildren, Jimmy Hutcherson, Sylvia Maddox (Peter) and Sharon Gorham (George). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren.
