He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Basil Gibson, Sr. and Una Gibson (Meyers); his son Neal Gibson; and his sisters, Jane Johnson and Susie Hamm.
He is survived by: his children, Layton Gibson (Tonua) of Murchison and Kelly Gibson (Michele) of Gloucester, England; and his grandchildren, Brandon Irby (Brittany), Ryan Moody (Jessica), Melissa Harris (Steve), Cody Gibson (Tiffany), Matthew Gibson (Em), Blake Gibson (Victoria), Hannah Gibson, Megan McLoughlin (Philip) and Chelsea Sullivan (Dustin). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
